With the latest amendment introduced by Decree-Law no. 26\/2022, of 18 March, to the Portuguese Nationality Regulation, approved by Decree-Law no. 237-A\/2006, of 14 December, it is provided that the processing and consultation of the procedures for the attribution, acquisition, loss, nullity and consolidation of nationality will be carried out electronically, under the terms to be defined by ordinance of the member of the Government responsible for the area of justice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Now, Ordinance no. 344\/2023, of 10 November, has now established the terms for the electronic submission of nationality applications by a lawyer or solicitor<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It should be noted that, as of December 1, 2023, this electronic submission will be mandatory for lawyers and solicitors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
